How To Write An Ebook In 5 Easy Steps
Mar/100
As an Internet marketer you should have your own product and an ebook is the easiest product you can create quickly. There are many benefits of having your own product. You have total control over the pricing of your product. You can do whatever you want with your own product.
You can sell it or give it away for free to build your email list. Creating your own product also gives you a confidence boost. You will gain valuable knowledge of product creation that you can leverage to create more products. Also, you will be considered an expert in your topic when you have a product with your name on it.
So, how can you create an e-book in five steps?
1. Find a Problem. Start off with finding a niche of people who are buying. These people have a problem and they’re willing to spend some money to find a solution. You’re going to give them something to buy – an ebook with the solution.
Niche forums are good places to find what problems people are having. Scan through the forum threads and postings to find recurring questions people are asking. To your surprise, you will also find most of the answers to those questions in the forums.
2. Research your topic. Do some research on your chosen topic so you sound like you know what you’re talking about. Your research can include articles, such as EzineArticles, short reports, and other ebooks on the subject. Take brief notes but make sure you’re not copying anything from the material you’re looking at.
You do not want to plagiarize. Plus you want your ebook to be original; filled with everything you know on the subject and from your unique angle.
3. Organize your materials. Once you have the topic picked and you’ve done your research, it’s time to organize your ebook. An outline of some sort is a must. The structure of your ebook is typically: Introduction, chapter 1, chapter 2, chapter 3, etc., and the conclusion with further resources. Decide what each of your chapters will be about, putting them in a logical sequence.
Now take each chapter heading and write. If you are intimidated or overwhelmed, treat each chapter as if you were writing a 400 word article. That’s not so bad, is it? Thinking of it that way makes it much easier to tackle.
In each chapter you can add tip boxes, little story examples, screenshots, and/or graphics.
4. Write the introduction. After your chapters are written, take some time to write the introduction and conclusion pages. The introduction may have some brief personal information about you – why you’re qualified to write on this subject or how knowing this info has changed your life.
5. Write the conclusion. The conclusion is a good place to refer people on to bigger and better information, preferable through your website, product links, or affiliate links.
Pick a font that’s easy to read, such as Verdana 11 px and set your paragraph spacing to 1.15. If you go bigger, people will accuse you of trying to inflate the number of pages of your ebook.
Proofread your work! You don’t look much like an expert if you can’t keep the typos and bad grammar in check. If English is not your first language, hire a proofreader to set it all straight. Run the ebook by someone you trust before you go live with it and ask them to catch any mistakes they run across.
Writing an ebook seems like a difficult task until you put it into ordered steps and tackle them one after the other. Spend time finding the right niche and topic first, and you will be rewarded with sales later.

Some Helpful Tips In Ebook Writing
Mar/100
Ebook writing may be more difficult than you first anticipated. It sounds easy enough—until you realize you have to fill a 100+ page book with quality content. Remember that people who download ebooks have usually paid a lot of money and are expecting some quality content. What is quality content? How can you make ebook writing entertaining and informative?
First of all, thoroughly research the subject that you are writing about. A freelance writer’s job is 50% research and 50% writing. You want to build the same foundation of knowledge for yourself as your audience already has.
Read a little about the subject from an encyclopedia. Talk to an “expert” in the business. It also helps to keep up with newsletters and industry trends. Teach your audience something with every new page; this will make the book educational and very professional.
Next, try to make your ebook writing conversational. The fact of the matter is that most people who order ebooks online do not want to sit through a 100 page academic course. They want something that’s easy to follow and that covers new information without any excessive verbiage or flowery language. Aim for a conversational style of writing, with some bits of humor where appropriate.
Long paragraphs can be a pain to read so try to make short paragraphs that cover a complete thought. The standard is usual 4-5 sentences per paragraph. Use subheadings if you are writing a chapter that covers several pages. Anything you can do to keep your audience’s attention helps. Think about adding lots of colorful pictures that help draw attention to your point.
As with all good writing, ebook writing should have a central theme and a powerful conclusion that motivates the reader to take action. When devising a table of contents, try to determine what your targeted audience is interested in reading. Study other publications if it can help you come up with creative ideas.
Ebook writing can be time-consuming and very difficult for non-professionals. If you don’t want to skimp on quality but want to get your ebook out on the market as soon as possible then think about working with an SEO firm. An SEO firm can ghostwrite an ebook for you, charging only a flat rate. After the sale, you keep all the profits that your book generates.
Ebook writing not only earns you money from direct sales, but can also help to promote your products and services. You have 100 pages to convince your reader that you are the best at what you do. Don’t let this opportunity pass you by!
Words You Want is your one stop resource for all of your writing needs. Words You Want offers a variety of services including SEO packages, article directory submission, SEO article writing, ghostwriting, eBook writing, travel writing, equine writing and more.

The History And Popularity of Ebooks
Mar/100
The ebook or electronic book is also named e-book or eco-book. It is the digital equal to the traditional printed book. The contents are read on personal computers or by the use of hardware devices called ebook readers.
The first thinking was triggered off by Michael Hart in the 1970`s. He reasoned that the greatest value of a computer should be not merely computing but also storing material, retrieving it and searching for knowledge kept in libraries. The birth of the ebook era started with the copy of Declaration of Independence. From these humble beginnings kicked off Project Gutenberg. Today there are 20,000 free texts and more than 100,000 books available. Each month 3,000,000 ebooks are downloaded – undoubtedly impressive figures in the history of ebooks. When it made its debut in the web the material was easily shared and stored. Quickly the idea picked up and large scale dissemination began to take place.
At first ebooks covered special areas and were meant to be documents to be shared by those in the field. The subject varied from technical manuals to manufacturing techniques. Soon stuff appeared meant only for adults. The market was thus fractured and led rise to ideas of making it more universal and reachable.
Many formats of ebooks appeared and spread supported by branded software. But the market became more fragmented with multiple readers using multiple formats. Ebook failed to become a mainstream product. A dual movement developed. There were ebook publishers who distributed old and rare books while new writers and publishers struck out on their own offering online books creating new readers and clients. Catalogues became available on the net and the message of ebooks began to spread to the public.
Soon it was romance stories that captured the popularity zone. It sometimes meant `guilty pleasure` for the general public. Such types of works could be easily located and bought online from the confines and privacy of one`s own home. It was also easy to read such stuff without others knowing about the guilty tastes. The world did not quite know about the success of such `romantic books`.
But human civilization has a tendency to separate the grain from the chaff and soon big strides began to be taken in the diffusion of knowledge through ebooks. It has led to the spawning of new publishing houses and manufacturers of electronics. More ebook hardware readers are being released in the market that will be easy for the public pockets and convenience. They will apply for portable computers, smart-phones and even game consoles.
Slowly the public are seeing people reading ebooks on laptops or on portable hand-held computers in eateries and coffee parlours. On the mobile phone one can read them in installments by downloading the same. In Japan the sales have jumped astronomically. Now one can find the type of books one wants – the choice of ebooks is widening. Daring new authors are entering the hallowed zone of books and reading.
Those aiming to publish ebooks have many options as regards file format. There are heated debates about which format is the best. For works like dictionaries, references and the like ebooks are ideal for easy searches and cross references can be made. On an average 500 ebooks can be stored in one CD. They never run out of print and authors can continue to earn royalties. Some of them can be read not only in dim light but also in total darkness because of some internal device. The ebook is easy to hold and does not require use of both hands. Reproduction costs are negligible.

Tamil Historic Novels
Mar/100
The novel form of Tamil literature has been in existence only since around two centuries.
Before that, the poetry form used to rule the roost for nearly two thousand years. Novel is a relatively new genre in Tamil literature but is very popular among the Tamil novel readers. The novel format was made popular by legendary writers like Kalki Krishnamurthy, Vai. Mu. Kothainayaki, Lakshmi, Na. Parthasarathy etc. The novel form has given us several others. What Are Info-Products And Why Do You Need Them?
Mar/100
If you’re just getting started in Internet marketing, you’re probably familiar with the term “info-products” or information products. Info-products include any tangible or intangible form in which you deliver information. That means info-products could be books, e-books, reports, manuals, workbooks, courses, teleclasses, e-zines, articles, blogs, audio files, CDs, videos, and memberships. The tangible ones are books and CDs while the intangible (digital) ones are e-books and audio files (MP3).
When you’re just starting out, you may want to chose info-products that are quick and easy to produce such as a 20-page report, a 30-minute interview, a 5-page newsletter, or a 40-page e-book. I once turned the transcript of a 90-minute teleclass into an e-book in 8 hours. These smaller info-products are a great way to begin so you’re not overwhelmed with the idea of writing a 200-page book or a 12-week course.
What’s so valuable about info-products is that they’re a commodity you can create one time and sell many times, as opposed to services which you deliver one-on-one such as coaching or bodywork. In some instances as a service provider, you can leverage your time by offering group coaching, classes, or seminars. Yet, most service professionals like speakers, trainers, consultants, health care providers, lawyers, realtors, financial planners, hair stylists, and others work with one client or customer at a time, thereby trading their time for money.
If you’re an entrepreneur, small business owner, or service provider, you have an area of expertise to share with others. Now, some people may not be able to afford your services, or you may not be in a geographically accessible area, or some are the “do-it-yourself” type. These people can’t have your services, but they can have your ideas when you transform them into info-products. This is the way you can reach and help more people than when you serve one person at a time. You only have a limited number of hours and that limits your income. With info-products you can generate cash 24/7 while you sleep, work, play, or take a vacation.
Here’s an example Let’s say you charge $100/hour for your service, so 40 hours of your time would be $4,000. If you wrote an e-book and charged $40 for it and it took you 40 hours to write, you would only have to sell 100 e-books to make the same $4,000. And after you sell that first 100 e-books, everything else is profit. You’re not trading your time for dollars any more! You put in the initial 40 hours and now the e-book will keep on bringing in income.
Using info-products leverages your time, shares your expertise, creates passive profits, and attracts more people to your service business. When you move from selling your services to selling info-products, you transform from an entrepreneur into an infopreneur and you don’t have to work as hard!!

What Is A Ebook?
Mar/100
A ebook is where you can read a book in an electronic format (digital). That means you can read it on your computer and has not involved a printer, printer or ancient writings on a piece of paper.
You can now read a ebook on a wide variety of electronic devices. Equipment such as:
* The computer, laptop or desktop as one of the new mini-laptops (8 – 10 “EEE).
* Iphone and iPod touch
* Different ebook Readers – Amazon Kindle, Sony ebook reader, and other
* BlackBerry’s and other smart phones
* PDAs
* Virtually everything that can read pdf format
So there is a wide range of opportunities to take your ebook with you and read in the park, on holiday in the cottage, hotel stay and other places where you just need to read a little.
The format has a ebook
A book is often seen as a pdf file. It is a format that Adobe has developed, the piece of software needed to read a pdf is provided free of charge from Adobe.
The format of such a book may also be other than PDF, and there has been considerable debate about which one to use. There are a lot of formats, and I will not mention them all, but here is just because a few:
* Portable Document (. Pdf)
* Amazon Kindle (AZW)
* Open Electronic Book Package (. Opf)
* Text Coding Initiative (TEI)
* Microsoft LIT (. Lit)
* EReader (. Pdb)
* Mobipocket (. Mobi or. Prc)
You can only hope that one day they will agree on which format to use for ebooks. However, with as big players like Adobe, Amazon and Microsoft, each believes their format is the best, it will unfortunately not in this century.
What can you with a ebook
That the book is in a digital format offers a wide range of possibilities. The book itself becomes more interactive when you can write links in the book which the reader can tap and go directly to the site on the Internet. It makes recommendations to the author writes in the book can be followed while you read (if you’re on the Internet while of course).
You can even add video and audio to your pdf file, which can create a highly functional and informative book with more features. Imagine that you write a book about your favorite football team and write about their tactics and good players. The ebook can you insert video clips from their last matches, the best goal they have scored or the ugliest tackles. Endless opportunities to give readers the best experience, better than they could have gotten out of a book in paper format, where they can only see small pictures.
Benefits of ebook format
There are many advantages and I would like closure scratch a list of them here:
* You can search for text in the book
* You can make erasures in the book which need not be permanent
* EBook is space saving, especially when you’re on vacation is a great advantage
* The readers who have trouble reading small text can even adjust the size of text
* It is quicker and easier to publish a book
* It requires nothing more than electricity to produce a ebook, so it is more environmentally friendly
* E-books may contain clip art and animations

7 Pros And 7 Cons Of Audiobooks
Feb/100
I just finished my first audiobook. And it was an experience worth sharing:
I had been reading reviews and blog posts and tweets about Seth Godin’s newest book, Linchpin. Went to a couple of bookshops on my way to work/home; it wasn’t available. So I went to Amazon.com to order one. I was at Amazon after a long time, and was surprised to see the options available: Kindle (ebook download), hardcover, paperback, audio CD and audio download. Audio download looked like the fastest option so I checked it out. It took me to Audible.com – an Amazon company, where an audio download was being offered for just USD7.49 with a new membership! I signed up, paid the money, downloaded the book, and started listening to it right away! The benefits:
It’s fast. I was listening to the book after just a few clicks in few minutes.
It’s cheap. Book versions were USD13-25.
It’s convenient. I copied the file to my iPhone to listen during my commute to and from work.
It’s safe. A copy each on my computer, iPhone and backup is likely to last (damage-free) as long as I wish.
It takes no space. So less clutter. No worries about whether to keep, sell off, recycle or give-away.
It’s environment-friendly. No paper, ink, chemicals.
It’s comfortable. For someone who spends a lot of time in front of computers or books, this is a good break for the eyes. You can listen while standing, walking or lying down.
And the disadvantages:
You need technology – computer, Internet access, applications like iTunes, and power supply
You need a handheld device to maximize the use of audiobooks – iPhone, iPod or any other MP3 player
You need a credit card for online purchase
You can’t share. I love giving away my books to someone who might enjoy/benefit. Most audiobooks can’t be shared on multiple computers/accounts.
You can’t refer as easily. I like to go back to particular passages in my favorite books for inspiration/information/sharing. In audiobooks, you can fast-forward to chapters but it’s difficult to go to the exact passage you are looking for.
You can lose it easily – unless you have a good backup system.
You become anti-social. Your chances of interesting conversations with strangers greatly diminish if you go around with headphones in your ears.
On balance, I think it depends on your lifestyle, circumstances and even the kind of book you want to read. Please take a few minutes to share your views through comments: Have you tried an audiobook? If not, will you? What other pros and cons can you think of?
